A side table or console table makes a narrow space in the hallway, living room, or behind the sofa more functional. The CéJor collection includes consoles from brands such as Eichholtz and Rivièra Maison. The depth and height are at least as important as the width: the piece of furniture must fit without obstructing a walkway or door.

A narrow table in the hallway or behind the sofa

Measure the available space, including the baseboard, door swing, and any passageways. Behind a sofa, the height of the backrest can help determine which console will look appropriate. In a hallway, protruding legs or sharp corners are relevant to your walking path. A shallow top may be sufficient for a lamp or a few objects, while a wider console adds more visual weight to a wall.

Comparing consoles, dressing tables, or desks

This selection features various table styles. Therefore, please check the intended function and the dimensions of the item. A decorative console does not automatically offer legroom for a workspace; a dressing table may have its own specific layout. For items with drawers, also consider the internal dimensions and the space required to open them. When looking at product photos, verify which accessories or individual parts are actually included.

Combining mirrors, lamps, and finishes

A mirror above the console and a table lamp on top of it can together define a distinct space. Coordinate the finish with the rest of the room and ensure there is enough free surface area.
