Description

The Joshua armchair derives its character from a sculpturally shaped seat shell. The upholstery follows the contours of that shell, so that the structural form remains recognizable and does not disappear under a uniformly upholstered volume.

The reference to mid-century design lies in the proportion between structure and seat. Joshua can therefore be placed as a standalone accent next to a sofa. The design does not require many extra details: the shape of the shell gives the chair its own line.

THE GRAND INTERIOR at CéJor Wonen

An armchair gives you a spot of your own to read, relax or join the conversation in the living area. At CéJor Wonen, you’ll find armchairs and swivel armchairs from brands including Eichholtz and Rivièra Maison. A standalone chair can complement your sofa or make its own statement with a different shape and upholstery.

A personal spot to sit in comfort

The back height, seat depth and armrests all contribute to how an armchair feels. Also consider where it will go in the room: a swivel armchair needs more space around it than a fixed model. If you’d like to put your feet up, a matching footstool can be a welcome addition. Always check the features and dimensions for each version; a relaxed shape doesn’t automatically mean the chair is adjustable.

An occasional table and focused lighting turn a standalone armchair into a complete reading nook.
