Bar chairs and counter stools are not the same height

Measure from the floor to the underside of the countertop and check the available legroom. Compare this with the seat height of your chosen model. A tall and a short version from the same series can look almost identical. The terms bar stool or bar chair do not in themselves indicate which size is appropriate. In addition, check whether the footrest is reachable and how much space the chair will take up when in use.
